After a case, we may keep a brief, high-level summary to help maintain service quality and consistency. This may record the service provided, general application circumstances, types of documents considered, main process stages and general issues identified.

These summaries are designed not to include identifying personal information such as dates of birth, passport numbers, addresses, financial figures, contact details or copies of documents. We take care to avoid retaining details that could reasonably identify a customer.

The aim is to retain knowledge about the process and service, not the customer's personal information.

If you comment in our UK Visit Visa Community, we store the display name and comment you enter, the article and the date. We do not ask for your email address or an account. Please do not include personal documents or sensitive details in comments.

To prevent spam and abuse, we also keep a one-way scrambled code made from your internet (IP) address. We never store the address itself, and the code is erased after 30 days.
