UK Visit Visa Now Required for Nauru Nationals: Urgent Rule Change Announced

The UK has updated its border rules: Nauru nationals must now apply for a UK Visit Visa before travelling. This replaces the previous Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) system.

The change came into effect on 9 December 2025 and impacts anyone from Nauru planning tourism, business trips, family visits, medical treatment, or transit. Only travellers with a valid ETA booked before 9 December 2025 and arriving by 20 January 2026 may be exempt.
